As far as mid-range options go, the Canon EOS 90D is worth considering. Like the Canon EOS R7, it has a higher resolution sensor than most APS-C cameras, giving you more room to crop your photos. It can also shoot at a respectable 11 fps burst rate, although this drops to seven fps when using continuous-tracking AF. While its autofocus system isn’t as fast as the autofocus on newer mirrorless alternatives, overall it tracks moving subjects well.

The biggest downside is that you don’t get IBIS for more stable handheld shots. It also doesn’t have the largest image buffer, which can slow you down when shooting long bursts. However, Canon’s EF/EF-S mount includes some excellent lenses, and they won’t be as sufficient for you as the full-frame mirrorless options. Additionally, the camera appears to be well-built, weather-resistant, and has comfortable ergonomics, making for a great all-around shooting experience.
