In the US, an average of nearly 70,000 children under the age of 5 are hospitalized with RSV each year, and nearly 7 million people have died from COVID-19 worldwide.
Jessilyn Dunn’s lab uses AI and machine learning to analyze data collected by devices such as smartwatches to ultimately predict and prevent outbreaks of RSV, COVID-19 and influenza, as well as conditions such as adult-onset diabetes.
