More about the Canon Camera Connect app
Certain Wi-Fi enabled Canon digital cameras are compatible with the Canon Camera Connect app. Canon Camera Connect’s primary function is to act as a wireless alternative to tethered remote controls and triggers. You can use it to take photos without accidentally pushing the camera once you’ve set up the perfect shot.
When used in Remote Live View mode, the camera’s LCD screen turns off and the camera’s live view appears on the phone. This live view allows you to adjust settings such as focus and white balance. Just take a photo when you’re ready.
The second way allows you to access photos stored on your camera. This mode allows you to see thumbnails of photos you’ve taken. Once you’ve chosen one, set it as a favorite, save it to your phone, or delete it.
The app is available for iOS and Android, but it works on a range of Android devices. It cannot run or install on Android 4.3 and below. However, it works on devices running Android 4.4 and up. According to Canon, your iPhone must be running iOS 9.3 or later. The application is not guaranteed to work on other versions.
Cannon Connect works via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Works better over Bluetooth due to reduced latency. Your camera and phone must have Bluetooth 4.0 to use the Bluetooth connection feature.
